Align your exercise with your goals
Knowing what you want to accomplish can help you determine the type of exercise you should do. Starting with a clear understanding of your goals is key. Are you looking to lose weight or tone your muscles? Are you training for a specific sport or event? Do you know what type of exercise you should do to reach those goals?
Several Exercise Options are Available
Working out at the gym is probably the first type of exercise most people try. Using cardio equipment and doing some weight training is a good place to start. The problem is that most people are not sure what to do or how much to do.
Group fitness classes are another common exercise choice. They offer a wide variety of classes such as boot camp, HIIT, strength training, cardio classes, etc. It’s great to get motivated by others and to get some feedback from the instructor. If you are comfortable exercising with others and looking to get a good calorie burn, group fitness is a great option. Coach Mel’s offers several different types of group fitness classes, a different class each day, Monday through Friday.
Don't Want to work out with others?
An advantage of using a personal trainer is that you do not have to exercise in front of others. Many people are self-conscious of working out with others for fear they do not know what they are doing. With personal training, you will get one-on-one training with a focus on your form, progress, and reaching your goals.
