5K training classes
Want to run a 5K but don't know how to train?
Have you tried to train on your own but never made it to the finish line (or start line for that matter)?
Join me for an 8-week progressive walk/run training program that will have you completing your first 5K by May!
We will run together 2 times per week, Tuesdays at 5:30 PM and Saturdays at 7:30 AM starting on March 10th. The Pound the Pavement 5K Training Program will also include one group fitness class per week at Coach Mel’s (there are several to choose from).
Each week we will discuss different running techniques and event do’s and don’ts. All runs will start and end at Coach Mel’s. We will start with a dynamic warm-up and finish the session with a stretch. If it’s too cold, raining or snowing we’ll stay indoors.
8-Week 5K Training Classes
Sign up for our 8-week 5K training program now for only $149 (plus tax) and receive FREE branded BibBoards to use for your first 5K run. You will also receive TWO FREE WEEKS of group fitness classes from February 25th until we start pounding the pavement on March 10th.

Current Members: If you would like to join this training you can sign up for classes using your membership the same as any other classes. If you are on a 3x/week membership and would like to increase to unlimited for the 8 weeks of 5K training, please speak with Coach Mel.
Join Coach Mel and several other members for the 11th Annual Girls Just Wanna Run 5K. This is a great first 5K course that is fairly flat with nice scenery along the Bantam Lake.
The date of this race is currently undecided as it has been postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. We will post the date here as soon as it is available.
